Andrew Donnelly's heavily redone Bachmann split box on the colliery layot. Minimal work and some tasteful weathering gives you an acceptable result. Can anyone really be bothered with the Mostyn approach? At least this one is a good approximation of Rail Blue, unlike some of the turquoise Whistlers plying the North Wales coast layout.

Another guest. Alan Mitchell's (Stonehaven) Network Rail bubble with beautiful working white LED spotlights stole the show at Aberdeen show last year.

A Lima repaint by Andy Elliott. Still stands up very well next to Bachmann if only it was a little quieter.

A birthday prezzie from Andrew Donnelly. Makes the very best of the iffy early Bachmann body.

Andrew Donnelly reckons his Dad's layout was missing a whistler. Here it is resplendant in Scottish muck and appropiate number. Again it looks OK to most eyes, so why bother chopping it up/adding lima bits/etches/etc etc?
